I’m Iain (ee-in). I’m originally from Scotland but have called Toronto, Canada, “home” for most of my adult life.
I have a personal interest in technology and enjoy learning about computing and open-source technology, including experimenting with different programming languages. I also like to contribute to open projects when I can, whether that’s adding a personal photo to Wikipedia or updating information on OpenStreetMap.
I graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Political Science, and I try to keep up to date on global affairs as well as goings on in Scottish politics.
The Toronto Public Library is excellent, and I read a range of nonfiction, historical fiction and cookbooks. I like to cook.
I prefer walking to public transit, and listen to a lot of podcasts as I walk across the city. I also like to listen to music in other languages, particularly French, Spanish and Portuguese.
Since I spend a considerable amount of my free time walking around, I like to make the most of my other time by working on personal projects or spending time with friends.
